Low Carb Sugar Diet

6I have been following the low carb lifestyle for several months. When I started I heard that I would be hungry and it would be difficult. All this is untrue. In the past, I was a person who was always hungry and needing something to snack on at all times. Following this new lifestyle, I find that I am rarely hungry. I have been following the diet and sticking to eggs, meats, cheeses, vegetables and nuts. Dr. Atkin’s Revolution explains how I can eat all of this and still diet and loose weight. It works and it makes sense. How can it be wrong to have turkey and vegetables for lunch with nuts as a snack, it is both healthy and tasty.

The effects that the low carb diet was having on me physically were unbelievable. Before I started the diet, I was having trouble walking due to the spurs in my heels. I would walk like a decrepit old woman. It was very painful and I began to live on pain relievers just so I could walk. Once I started living the low carb lifestyle, my symptoms started to disappear. After the few months, they had disappeared. The pains in my feet were gone. I also noticed that my skin was nicer and that my energy level had increased.

Why am I writing all this, you ask? Well, I had a few personal problems and all my symptoms returned. I know it is not an excuse, and I should have known better- but, my mother was ill. I know, I should have been able to continue my low carb lifestyle, but it was easier to start eating the sugars. The need for sugar took over the logic of my healthy lifestyle. It was my sugar addiction that was most important to feed rather than the logic of sticking to the low carb lifestyle. It seemed easier to forget about the changes I had made for healthier eating and eat. Changing my lifestyle or reverting back to my old ways brought back all my other symptoms. The pains in my feet are presently unbearable as well as I have little or no energy to do anything. I really miss the way I felt before. The pain is getting so severe that I think I have to get back in control, and back to the low carb solution.

Tonight, I am going shopping for the allowable foods and getting back to it. I am going to buy the chicken and vegetables, and no sugars. I am going to stock up on cheese and nuts and really try to stick to it. I know that it will make me feel better soon. I will keep you up to date on how it is going. Why don’t you give it a try too- it works!
